Our Practice
Thank You for choosing Stone Mountain Animal Hospital! We have cared for pets in the Stone Mountain area since 1972. Our veterinary hospital has gone through many transformations in the last five decades but our commitment to providing the best veterinary medicine and compassionate care for pets has never changed.
Dr. Rodman founded the practice in 1972 when Memorial Drive was a quiet, 2 lane road. Dr. Brown took over ownership in 1985. Head veterinary technician Connie Anderson joined the practice in 1989. Dr. Aponte joined the Stone Mountain staff in the year 2001. In September 2019, VetCor took over the practice.
Our veterinary hospital is about 3200 sf and includes a spacious reception area, 3 exam rooms, an X-ray, a surgery suite, a treatment area, a kennel, and an outside fenced area for frequent walking of dogs. Typically, cats are kept in the treatment area away from our dog patients. Our hospital is not the biggest, but we think our size allows us to give more personal attention to our patients and their owners. Our goal is to offer high-quality veterinary medicine that combines modern technology with old-fashioned comfort for your pet.
Our sister office, Sugarloaf Animal Hospital in Lawrenceville, allows clients in Gwinnett County a closer convenience. Also, ultrasound and digital radiology are available at the Sugarloaf location.
Call (770) 469-6111 for an appointment today and let Dr. Aponte, Connie, Natalie, Sheri, Thaina, Maryah, and Owen impress you with their concern and kindness for your pets.
